M&MW: Casual Everyday Look for Men

Wait, it’s not Wednesday anymore? *scratches head* Apologies for getting my schedule wrong. But here’s a better-late-than-never Mix & Match Wednesdays post, because I don’t think I can wait til next week anymore to post this. :)

The Brandneunsense staff is soooo busy right now, adding awesome new items from four new brands to our catalog — watch out for those!  Meanwhile, today’s Mix & Match features some of these new brands that will surely rock your fashion statement. I know I have a little bias for women fashion, specially in the previous M&MWs, but today’s outfit is made especially for guys for a change.

With this outfit, guys can either go to work or to school in comfortable and relaxed clothes, without having to look like a dupe. Check this out:

Mix and Match Wednesdays

Check out the above items in our catalog: (1) Damaged Jean’s Blue Hexxed Jeans; (2) Yes No Maybe’s Add Fuel to the Fire shirt (I know it doesn’t look like it, but the print on the shirt actually says “Yes No Maybe”); (3) Dephect’s Fader Belt; (4) Vans’ Van Doren Backpack Charcoal; (5) Yes No Maybe’s Black Eyeball Cap; (6) Vans Sun Glasses (still on promo!!)

What do you think? :) Black and blue sure works ALL THE TIME. Yes, even especially for men.

So Brandneusense’s taking on the jeans/bottoms department again. Now you can really say that the BNS website is your one-stop shop for any form of clothing you’ll ever need from head to toe! :)

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!

Vanilla Pink’s take on Shutter Shades

kanye-west-shutter-shadesYou know those shutter shades that Kanye West popularized in his music video, “Stronger”? Apparently, Kanye West was not the first person to wear shutter shades, and no, it’s not exactly a new invention by the modern fashion gods.

Shutter shades have been around since the early 80s, and were also called “venetian blinders”. They appeared in a couple of music videos, two decades ago, first in “Glittering Prize” by Simple Minds in 1982, and then in “Obsession” by Animotion in 1984. Yes, vintage fashion is the way to go, people.

Now before you start thinking I’m such a fashion and entertainment know-it-all (I think that’s our exclusive BNS reporter’s expertise right there, not mine), there’s an entire wikipedia page about Shutter Shades okay, so yeah, I just found out about this information now, too.

I received a pair of shutter shades from a friend last Christmas, and I only wore it about (uhm) once. Not that I didn’t think they’re cool and fashionable, don’t get me wrong. I just get annoyed at how they block my vision, I mean, it’s not like they can serve as real sun glasses you know? At 26, I’d like to be fashionable and practical, so no shutter shades for me, please. Gahhd, I’m getting old.

I think, however, that these shutter shades look better printed on shirt. :)

Ta-da.

Vanilla Pink Shutter Shades Tshirt

Vanilla Pink did a brilliant job at coming up with these awesome shirt designs. Available in these yummy colors, green, purple, and classic white, Vanilla Pink made sure that even without the real “venetian blinders”, you can still flaunt your Kanye-West-fashion-sense in (literally) flying colors.

One purple Shutter Shade T-shirt for me, please. Ktnxbai.

Check out all the other Vanilla Pink shirts available in our catalog. ;)
