World Cup Fever: South Africa Colours
With just about two weeks remaining in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, one can’t help but wonder, who gets to take home the much coveted football cup?
Unfortunately for South Africa, this year’s host for the FIFA Cup, the race ended Tuesday after being eliminated from the group stage. But hey, South Africa may have exited, but not without grace. Bafana bafana played with heart and pride, winning a 2-1 victory against France on their final match, except that their accumulated points was not enough to take them through the next round.
“Bafana Bafana are out of the World Cup, but they won the hearts and minds of all South Africans and the whole world tonight,” SA’s Local Organising Committee CEO Danny Jordaan said. “Yes they did not make it past the group stage, but they did what the country asked of them – they played with pride, passion, skill and commitment, they gave their best.”
Well said, Jordaan.

And of course we don’t want this opportunity pass without honoring South Africa in our own little Brandneusense way. Today we wear South Africa’s vibrant colours with pride with this Mix&Match World Cup Edition. Keep your head up, South Africa, we’ll see you again next year!
