Inspired by New York Fashion
Behold, Brandneusense sightings on Polyvore!
It’s Autumn in New York and to some of us who enjoys watching Blair Waldorf’s and Serena Van der Woodsen’s fashion statements in Gossip Girl more than keeping track of who’s-dating-who-this-time, now is perhaps the best time to visit New York! What I love most about this time of the year in New York is, it’s neither extremely cold nor extremely warm! The most important part of the day would have to be checking the weather report to know if it’s warm enough to wear a dress with a pair of matching leggings, or if it’s too cold that you have to layer up.
Here are some New York-inspired ensemble featuring items from Brandneusense’s catalog:
You can never go wrong with a pair of torn jeans, black shirt dress, bright accent scarf, faded denim jacket and chuck taylors! Check out this RollingStones Jersey Dress from House of the Gods, a very versatile piece of clothing which you can mix and match with practically anything! Don’t be afraid to accessorize in bright contrasting colors as well as some bloody red nail polish and lipstick!
The purple revolution is on! Autumn and winter this year, they say, is about seductive color tones and enchanting mood, making purple the color to stock up on. Take for example this otherwise plain Suspender Crew Neck Dress from Religion which is immediately brought to life by a few pieces of purple accessories. Now what I love about this Crew Neck Dress is its flexibility as far as possible color combinations and accents are concerned, it can practically be worn with anything! Just make sure the weather report says it’s okay to ditch out the thick layers of outerwear if you’re thinking of wearing this jersey dress as is!
Clean, elegant and Audrey Hepburn is the theme of this ensemble. I do love the neutral hues, tones and accents — brown, gold, and beige coming together to complement an otherwise plain black-and-white attire. This White Camo Vest from Bench is perfect for layering. Slightly longer than the body, it comes with enough length to tuck in, or, if preferred, to wear with a loose belt.
Alrighty, that’s it for the day y’all. Enjoy the weekend and happy strutting around under your layers!
