Christmas Carol can’t get enough
With Christmas Carol’s grand opening that lighted up London’s streets as if it were December already, people would have expected Jim Carrey’s newest film to do very well at the box office.
It’s not that the movie did poorly in the box office in its opening week, Christmas Carol still topped the charts but it just earned 31 million when the producers were expecting it to go much higher than that considering the film’s large investment and publicity.
Robert Zemeckis, the producer of the film is all raves about the actor’s performance. Unfortunately, the film has been receiving some negative reviews from critics.
Zemeckis is not worried, he’s expecting the movie to start chugging come the Christmas season, the same thing that the movie Polar Express has done where it was also starting slowly but started attracting a larger audience when people started feeling the Christmas spirit.
The people from Disney are expecting the same fate for Jim Carrey’s latest film.
Christmas Carol is a film adaptation of the classic novel by Charles Dickens about Scrooge, a businessman who has let his life pass him by in pursuit of money and to satisfy his greed.
