Rihanna Pens Song Talking About Chris Brown
Rihanna’s episode with Chris Brown may have done her some good, at least in the creative process.
Just February of this year Rihanna’s former boyfriend, Chris Brown, assaulted the singer; she is now back to her feet recording a new album– a new album which will include a very personal track discussing her bitter experience.
The track is entitled Cold Case Love, featured on her new album called Rated R.
Rihanna said that she struggled with the experience, the stigma and the trauma of a loved one physically hurting her. She was given time off in March and everyone was talking about her being the victim. She said, When I was given time off in March it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad.
“I couldn’t go anywhere. It was, like, ‘Look at the poor victim!’ So I called my label and said, ‘I’m ready’.”
The Barbadian singer is now in Britain promoting her new album, Rated R, which will be released on Monday.
The album is very edgy compared to her last three collections, with tracks called Russian Roulette, Hard and rude Boy and the cathartic track about Chris Brown, Cold Case Love. It is produced by the London based production, Chase & Status.
It is impressive to note that Rihanna, who is only 21 years old, has achieved and experienced so much.
