Hollywood Actors Boost UK Tourism
A celebrity always makes a place sparkle, do they not? As this is proving to be true as the recent slew of Hollywood celebrities filming in the United Kingdom is boosting the tourism and popularity of the area where they filmed.
Hunky Hollywood actors Johnny Depp and Russell Crowe are among the many Hollywood stars who are making the people flock Great Britain as they shoot their movies in the country, specifically filming at National Trust Properties.
The 46-year old eclectic Johnny Depp attracts tourists as he plays the Mad Hatter in Lewis Caroll’s Alice in Wonderland, recently shot at the at 18th Century Antony House in Torpoint, Cornwall.
The 45-year old buffed Russell Crowe, on the other hand, plays Robin Hood. The movie filmed scenes at Freshwater Beach in Pembrokeshire.
Both of the actors’ movies will be released in May of this year. And we are happy to report that even though the movies are not yet shown in the cinemas, it is already raking in revenues from tourists on the two National Trust Properties. The National Trust is expecting even more visitors– up to the tens of thousands– once the movies are out.
