British wants to pass Harry Potter heritage unto next generation

The successful series revolving around a brave teenager blossoming in a magical world had beaten out Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code in a poll which probed Britons on what book they want to pass on to the next generation.

A fifth of the population surveyed chose the JK Rowling creation, which easily beat out the religious myth busting novels of Dan Brown according to a survey carried out for World Book Day.

In the same survey, it was revealed that books are still the leading gift idea because three out of four adults prefer to give a book as a present last year. The Scottish are especially fond of this particular choice.

With the World Cup looming overhead this summer, almost a third of the respondents said that they would give England coach Fabio Capello the historical Soccer book “The Inside Story of England’s 1966 World Cup Triumph,” documenting our country’s only success in the said tournament.

27 per cent said they would give chef Delia Smith’s “How to Cheat at Cooking” to someone who is sharing a flat for the first time. The book is a self-advise cook book by the celebrity chef.

If you’re asked what is the best online venue for hip yet affordable wardrobes, you should definitely vote for Brandneusense.
