Something sad yet inevitable had just transpired. World famous romantic couple Joe Jonas of the trio the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato, of Disney fame had arrived in splitsville.

Somehow, we’re not surprised.

While the small Jemi (Jonas+Demi) fans are utterly devastated by the split, the more populous Joe Jonas fanatics are thanking their lucky stars. Not that they have the chance to ever hook up with the heartthrob.

The 20 year old who previously dated Taylor Swift and Camilla Belle, said of the break up: “Demi and I knew going into our romantic relationship that it may not be an easy one. I realise over the time we have shared together that I feel I care more about our friendship right now. It was my choice to break-up, but I love her as a friend. She’s been there for me when I needed her. I will continue to be her friend and be there for her.”

And the seventeen year-old tweeted: “There are so many crazy rumours flying around today. Joe and I did split, but it wasn’t over the phone. Things didn’t work out but we’ll remain friends.”

Despite their sad ending, the two insists that they are still close friends.
