Daniel Radcliffe’s post-Potter role
After almost a decade of shooting the extremely successful Harry Potter series, Daniel Radcliffe is now moving on to another promising role.
In the movie, Woman in Black, Daniel is set to play a young lawyer named Arthur Kipps who is commanded to work in an eerie house, haunted by the ghost of a tormented woman seeking vengeance. The movie adaptation of the Susan Hill’s best-selling novel is a joint project of Hammer Films and Alliance Films.
Aside from starring in the broadway musical, Equus, this is only Radcliffe’s second role from his portrayal of the young wizard boy in the Harry Potter series.
Daniel said: “I am incredibly excited to be part of The Woman In Black. Jane Goldman’s script is beautifully written - both tender and terrifying in equal measure. It is thrilling to be working with James Watkins. From his brilliant work on Eden Lake and also having met him and heard his vision for the film, I know he will make a fantastic film.”
The penultimate Harry Potter film, Deathly Hallows: Part One, opens on November 19.
