Jolie will not play Marilyn Monroe
Though very promising, Angelina Jolie has denied that she will be playing the iconic American actress Marilyn Monroe in an upcoming film.
She said during the premiere of her spy thriller, Salt:
“It’s really funny because I have just heard about this for the first time today. It’s news to me. I’m flattered I suppose.”
According to boxofficemojo.com, Angelina’s latest spy action thriller garnered £20m on its debut weekend in the US and is set to do better in Europe.
The plot of the film is somehow parallel to an earlier incident this year when a group of people were arrested in the US after being suspected to be Russian spies.
She said of the incident:”It was all very, very strange how close it was.”
“Somebody thought it was good marketing but hopefully it won’t affect our relationship with Russia.”
She also talked about the real action behind the scenes: “I did a lot of the stunts myself. I got a gash, a little scar right on the bridge of my nose but that was something very silly I did rolling into a table.”
